Who We Are

Welcome to the Colorado Mining Association

The Colorado Mining Association (CMA), established in 1876, is the oldest professional mining industry trade association in the U.S. The CMA membership is comprised of companies who are actively engaged in the exploration, production, and refining of metals, coal and industrial minerals. Membership also includes businesses and individuals that offer services and supplies to the mining industry.

Centrally located in Denver, the Colorado Mining Association is an advocate for the mining industry and strives to educate the public on the importance of mining. CMA members are provided networking opportunities that lead to business development and professional growth through membership forums, committees, and events, which includes the acclaimed National Western Mining Conference.

Mission

Honor Colorado’s world class mining heritage and continue to grow safe, sustainable and responsible mining across the mine lifecycle through education, advocacy and meaningful engagement in collaboration with local communities, policy makers and members of the public.

Vision

Americans recognize and embrace the importance and benefit of responsible mining to sustain and improve everyone’s quality of life for generations to come.
