The University of Denver Sturm College of Law is hosting a workshop at the DU campus on Tuesday, July 19 from 10 am to 3:30 pm concerning “Federal Coal: Leasing and Planning in the Public Interest.” The DU Law school will co-host this public workshop with The Wilderness Society and Western Organization of Resource Councils. This workshop appears designed to build support for the Programmatic EIS currently underway to pave the way for numerous adverse changes to BLM’s leasing program for coal.
It is critical that industry and knowledgeable members of the public attend to correct any misinformation that may be presented.
An agenda for the event is available here. Note that a master leasing plan for oil and gas will be discussed as an alternative leasing example.Attendees must pre-register on-line as “limited space” is noted. The announcement of the workshop is available below, as well as a registration link.
