The Department of the Interior recently announced it would be hosting six public meetings in order to solicit public input on the scope of the Federal Coal Leasing Program’s Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS). On Tuesday DOI released the schedule for the meetings, including one in Grand Junction on June 23rd between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
CMA is working with the National Mining Association, western state associations and other groups to spur a large pro-coal turnout and request the strong support of our membership and attendance at the event.
The details for the upcoming public meeting are as follows and I’ve also included the DOI’s press release on the meetings below:
- June 23, 2016 – Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St., Grand Junction, CO 81501
