CMA – a proud sponsor of Share in the Care Colorado
Ray DuBois, Vice President & General Manager of the Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company and Vice Chair for Hardrock on the CMA Board of Directors , officially donates gold leaf to Governor Hickenlooper at State Capitol ceremony. Mined at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine in Colorado, the gold was transformed into gold leaf in Italy.
As part of the State Capitol restoration project, Share in the Care Colorado announced that Colorado gold mined from Cripple Creek &Victor Gold Mining Company, located in Teller County, has returned from Italy where it was transformed into gold leaf to cover the capitol dome.
Boxes of gold leaf, enough to cover the entire dome, and one 10 ounce 24 karat ingot, were officially presented to Governor John Hickenlooper in a bucket brigade carried up the west steps of the State Capitol by CC&V employees.
